Dino Don, Inc. is an international leader in developing and touring blockbuster natural history exhibitions, with a staff of 25 in four countries.
We create the world's largest and most accurate robots and skeletons in record-setting exhibitions for museums and zoos worldwide. We maintain a collection of more than 200 dinosaurs and other robotic creatures up to 110 feet long.
Uniquely, we handmake our exhibitions under direct scientific supervision to ensure accuracy. How accurate? Our dinosaurs “breathe” and evenfart and pee!
And we are introducing the world’s first immersive ALL-PROJECTION DINOSAUR exhibition in 2022.
Our unique artifact plus live performance exhibition on Genghis Khan has toured internationally to more than 2 million museum-goers. We have facilitated blockbuster Terra Cotta Warriors exhibitions in the US and Britain.
The company was founded by "Dino" Don Lessem, a world authority on dinosaurs – advisor to Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park, author of 40 books, and excavator of the largest dinosaurs in the world, from Patagonia to Mongolia.
- Add Twitter to Social links on bottom. We will need to update the Quick Links to align with new page locations and lexicon.
Pretty much done based on initial doc except footer and twitter. Recommendattion: calls to action and layout/design based on that.

This replaces "how we build". Use content and titles from above and possibly images depending on if they work in the wide/short format. Buttons will link to detail pages. Detail page layouts? Header probably needs to change.
EXHIBITIONS
- Dino Don, Inc. is an international leader in developing and touring blockbuster natural history exhibitions. Over our nearly 30-year history as an exhibitions company, we have partnered in artifact loans with the governments of Russia, China, Mongolia and Argentina, and organizations as varied as Universal Studios and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History to create exhibitions seem by more than 10 million people in 10 countries. We look forward to collaborating in bringing one of our exceptional exhibitions to your venue!
- This may require some redesign. Create a series of “tiles” or squares that link out to individual exhibition pages. Like this approach:
These tiles would bring up a page for each exhibition, like how the “more” button currently navigates. Omit the purple band “RENT AN EXHIBIT”
Insert full bleed image or video band for first sectionwith overlay copy for the name of the exhibition. Scroll down to similar layout to what we currently have – copy on left and image on right. See this link for style reference– want to have room for an introduction then list the features. Can the image on the right be an automatic carousel of image and/or videos with the small preview of the carousel below?
Beneath – add a contact us button “HOST THIS EXHIBITION” (pulls up email)
Headlines as RIFT BOLD, boy as Lato
Once we get this sorted, we can work on the content for each of the exhibitions.
- We have had the great fortune to partner with the following organizations for exhibitions this year. Horizontal band with acarousel of venues and dates (content take from current “Venues” tab)
- Band with an automatically rotating carousel of accolades: -- Genghis Khan Exhibition (with Hermitage Museum, Russia & Mongolian Government)
Touring 2009-present
2.3 million visitors in 15 venues in U.S., Canada and Asia
Grand opening exhibition Arts/Science Museum, Singapore
-- Terracotta Warriors (with Chinese Government)
1.2 million visitors, Liverpool World Museum, 2019
330,000 visitors, Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, spring 2020
-- Jurassic Park: Fact and Fiction (with Universal Studios)
2.1 million visitors, 1993-2002, North America and European Museums
The most popular natural history exhibition in the history of museums
-- Robotic Exhibitions
3.8 million visitors, 21 museums & zoos, across Europe and North America
"A phenomenal success. We predicted 50,000 visitors would pay $7 upcharge for the limited-access tickets by October. By mid-June we were over 130,000 tickets."
Amy Shearer, Marketing Director, Philadelphia Zoo
New content and layout for top of page, a bunch of tiles instead of full bleed images that link to detail pages, detail pages will have button to host this exhibit (emailto). Use self-playing slider for images vs. current gallery on detail. Carosel of venues go on the main exhibitions page. Carosel of new testimonials goes after venues.
SALES
Remove overlay of Don on the video
Add a new overlay that reads “HOW WE MAKE OUR DINOSAURS” – Can this pull up a ghosted full screen background with a window view rotation of images and captions for each of the following steps (slightly modified from our existing “Building Dinos” page)
- Our scientists and artists create the look of the dinosaur according to the pose and colors our clients choose.
- A steel skeleton, called an armature, is created to support the structureand affix the motors that move the dinosaur. Silent air-powered pumps and a computer “brain” are installed to power the dinosaur.
- Foam is then wrapped over the armature and carved by hand to match the dinosaur in our detailed drawings. Ourpaleoartist works to ensure accuracy of the size, proportions, and details at every step of the way.
- Silicone skin is stretched over the foam and painted. A final review and testing of the assembled creatureare completed prior to shipping to ensure quality.
- The dinosaurs are then shipped to their location. The biggest creatures are shipped in sections which are lifted into place with a crane, then stitched together by our installation teams.
This is some sort of slider that rotates through these items and this goes over the video?
Move up bands from the bottom of this page (below the shopping preview). Take a look at the copy sizes – they appear to be irregular from the rest of the site.
“OUR GUARANTEE” as one line in the same RIFT BOLD
- Shop Section – with modifications:
Copy:
